This process may take 8-12 months to finish, so you need to make sure that you have all the paperwork needed. Lacking any document would mean longer processing time. The visa process is as follows:

  • –          Both the Australian sponsor and the Thai Fiancée should gather all the required documents
  • –          The Thai Fiancée should have a medical certificate
  • –          The Thai Fiancée should have a Police Clearance
  • –          All required documents should be forwarded to the Australian Embassy
  • –          The Thai Fiancée should await for further evaluation until visa decision is given

The Australian Embassy will inform the applicant if there are any missing documents. If not, then the waiting time would take about 12 months the most for the whole process.
